MY LEATHER JACKET DESIGN

So I know this is totally long over due but better late than never! As some of you know a couple months ago, I was lucky enough to be apart of the top 30 for the 2011 Danier Design Challenge. Although I did not move on to the next round (congrats to the winners by the way! Check out the winning designs here!), I still finished making the jacket for school! So without further ado, here is the end result!

This was my first time sewing with leather and it was definitely a challenge! I had to be extremely careful and there were a few times where I wanted to rip my hair out because the leather was being so frustrating! But in the end, everything turned out great! My favorite detail of the jacket would have to be the floral designs around the sleeves. They were laser cut so the design turned out beautiful.

Just for fun, I decided to try on my leather jacket and to my surprise, it fits me! Just might wear it once spring hits...

Potential spring outfit? Can't wait for the weather to warm up!
